About our tea serving for a group.

Please book a room at least 2 days prior to your desired date.

• Tea will be served in a rest area outside. We can serve tea for up to 20 people.
• If your group is more than 20 people, please break up the group and schedule our tea serving service at a different time.
• Please be advised that there might be a waiting time when the tea room is busy. Thank you.

Japanese Room Rental Information

You can rent a Japanese room. (Rental fees below).
The rental space consists of an 18 jou room (about 320 square feet), 8 jou room (about 142 square feet) and 4 jou room (about 70 square feet).

About use of Japanese Room

• Free entrance fee for up to 30 people.
• Eating is not allowed outside in the Japanese garden area. Eating is allowed in a Japanese room.
• We have equipment to rent. Please contact us for more details.

How to reserve a Japanese room

• We start taking reservations 2 months prior to your desired date.
• First, please check availability by phone or email.
• Please fill out the application form (PDF) and bring it, along with money, to our office.

• After we receive payment, we will give you a certificate.
• You can book the date (by telephone or at the office), but we can't finalize the reservation until we receive payment. We hold the date, without payment, for one day. After one day, the date is open to whoever pays first.
• We have a no refund after reservation policy. Exceptions may be made, on a case by case basis.

Use of Japanese garden information

You will need to purchase permit from Sakai city for photo-shooting and/or any commercial use. Please ask our staff.
